This is more of a reason we lost than the penalty. PLUS LSU had all game to score more points and just couldn't.......

Now that play was a bullshite call from the refs....But then again I am not sure LSU scores....

Bama is a must win game. I'm so sick of hearing and seeing so many elephant fans around this great state.

Hey I an just tired of all the fricking crying going on about Bama....LSU has had its fair share of calls go their way that helped them win games....And no Bama should NOT have gotten a 2nd chance in 2011, But LSU could have at least showed up for the game.... No worries though. LSU beats Bama this year....

This mentality is why we close out the season half arse because of the mindset we have with bama.

In 12 we beat bame we win the NC

in 14 we beat bama we finish with two losses.

LSU fields the same talent as ALABAMA every season. That can't be argued.

Actually it can.

Recruiting Class Rankings:
2011: Bama 1 LSU 8
2012: Bama 1 LSU 14
2013: Bama 1 LSU 6
2014: Bama 1 LSU 2
2015: Bama 1 LSU 5

Average class ranking the past 5 seasons: Bama 1 LSU 7.

Nobody has the same talent as Bama.

Why? Because they have Nick Saban and are the measure to which LSU runs its football program?

In the words of a good friend of mine....

I'm not sure what that is supposed to indicate, but the talent at LSU is very similar to Alabama. LSU, Alabama, FSU have all recruited well the last 3-5 years. The difference in a player ranked #1 at his position and a pkayer ranked #3 is minimal at best.

This is not s true statement, how many no 1 recruiting classes has lsu had?

Of course we need to beat them regardless, but overall they have had more talent based on recruiting rankings, draft status , all sec, all Americans etc.

Are completely valid and have merit.

The officials had nothing to do with the meltdown in 2012 or the 21-0 debacle. The blame for those 2 losses rests entirely with LSU's coaching staff.

So then is CLM to blame for this 4 game losing streak. Can he out recruit Saban. If he's not improving as a coach why keep him

But even though I hate SABAN it's easy to say he is a much better coach than "LESS MILES"

The funny thing about this is that, of all of the series LSU has played under Miles, Miles has consistently outcoached Saban. It hasn't always resulted in a win, but Miles has done some of his best jobs against Alabama.

'08, Bama had the better team and LSU played above itself.

'09, Bama had the better team yet LSU had the lead, with its backup QB.
Bama didn't get called for the block in the back on the long TD and of course Peterson intercepted the ball.

'10 One of Miles' best coached games.

'11 LSU and Bama both had great teams. Game gets moved to night, game billed as game of century, Jarett Lee melts down yet LSU still finds a way to win.

'12 LSU outplays Bama but gives it up late

'13 LSU looks like the better team for the first half...dominates Bama's defense on the first drive. However, Bama exploits LSU's weak run defense in the 2nd half.

'14 Again, against the odds, LSU has control of most of this game only to give it away at the end.

Criticism of Miles has its place, but criticism in the way he prepares his team for Alabama really isn't justified (other than the NC game. Even then, the achilles of that team was facing a defense that could shut down the run).

It stings but Bama usually beats LSU 3 times a year in football:

1. National Signing Day;

2. The actual game; and

3. The game following the Bama game (ie: LSU lost to Ark 17-0 and Bama beat #1 MSU after our game last year).

It was widely known that State peaked after that AU game. They were due to fall somewhere. Bama has been flat for many years after the LSU game regardless of the result.

At the end of the day I could care Les about how close each game WAS. I just care about the W. THATS ALL WE WANT ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

not some narrative of how close the game was until we lost it.
