In the LES MILES vs SABAN era we are 3-6 vs BAMA. LSU fields the same talent as ALABAMA every season. That can't be argued. Our talent alone has kept us in a lot of these ball games. But even though I hate SABAN it's easy to say he is a much better coach than "LESS MILES" We are currently on a 4 game skid and it's starting to get ridiculous. BAMA is the top dawg of the SEC, but we have proven that we can go punch for punch. Two of the last three games we have given away in the final minute.I think that we can all agree that LSU is desperate for a "W" this year vs Saban and the Tide to stop this slide.

2007 - LSU 41 - BAMA 34 W
2008 - LSU 21 - BAMA 27 L (OT)
2009 - LSU 15 - BAMA 24 L
2010 - LSU 24 - BAMA 21 W
2011 - LSU 9 - BAMA 6 W
2012 - LSU 0 - BAMA 21 L NCG
2012 - LSU 17 - BAMA 21 L
2013 - LSU 17 - BAMA 38 L
2014 - LSU 13 - BAMA 20 L (OT)

Not true at all. If that's our only loss and if bama loses two regular games ill be happy.

I agree.

If Miles loses five straight to Saban ... well, let's just say these excuses about referees, recruiting, scheduling, etc. etc. ... are going to start wearing mighty thin.

So you'd rather go 7-5 and beat Bama than go 11-1 and lose to Bama but make the playoff?

Absolutely not true. LSU needs to get back to winning 10+ games and keep getting guys into the NFL, not basing its success on the outcome of the Bama game

Recruits sense that and some of our fans' obsession with Alabama, and it overplays what frankly should almost be paramount-LSU is a national brand, a unique experience, and we can make you a whole lot of money with our excellent coaches and NFL reputation

I won't say it's "vital" for this season, but it would go a long way in getting the sting from the '11 out of our system. We've had them dead to rights in 2 of those 3 games and couldn't get it done. It's more about frustration than anything else. If we can take them to OT with AJ, I'm not super worried about there being a big competitive gap.

This board needs it more than the team does.

This season is a success if LSU has 10 or more victories that includes a win over Bama. Anything short of this is a failure, IMO.

This game still bothers me... We hung with them and all of a sudden they started beating us like a drum. A total 2nd half beatdown physically...

I thik By the time we play them the QB play will be better on the bama side but everything else will be in the favor of LSU... Then it will become of whats the mindset of the Tigers when they go into that stadium.. You have to go in knowing you should win... I just don't think Bama is as good as they have been the past few years... I think Saban's FIRE has gone out....I will go out on a limb and say this may be his last year... He is burnt out and the 44 points AU put on them and the 42 points OSU put on them is a telling sign IMO......

Are completely valid and have merit.

1 was a Mulligan (never should have happened), and 2 of the other 3 required significantly creative refereeing to tip it towards Bama, despite poor QB play in 3 out of 4.

Oh no doubt. Perception isn't always reality. LSU did everything it possibly could to beat Bama in 2012 and 2014, but it only took 1 or two plays to totally tip the scales. The mulligan game was just ridiculous and shouldn't have happened anyways.

The only true head scratching gameplan was 2013. Bama's secondary was clearly the weakest it's been in years, and we only threw it 25 times with Mett. OBJ, and Landry. hill is spectacular but it's okay to not prioritize him as much in that scenario

Either drink less or more because the current level of mental impairment isn't doing it for you.

Check the recruiting ratings for the last 6 years or so and then get back to me.

Better yet don't because you are an idiot.

Wins
2007 - LSU 41 - BAMA 34
2010 - LSU 24 - BAMA 21
2011 - LSU 9 - BAMA 6

Losses
2008 - LSU 21 - BAMA 27 (OT) - Redshirt Freshman Jarrett Lee throws 4 INTs

2009 - LSU 15 - BAMA 24 - Jordan Jefferson leaves with ankle, Charles Scott leaves with broken collarbone.

2011 -

2012 - AJ McCarron drives 72 yards in 43 seconds for the win

2013 -

2014 - After the questionable unsportsmanlike conduct call against Vadal Alexander results in a FG, Trent Dominigue kicks the ball out of bounds, then Blake Sims drives 55 yards in 50 seconds with no timeouts for OT

These games have been much closer than anyone would like to admit, and I, for one, am pleased to see Bama going through some QB struggles of their own. That position has been the only thing to separate our schools for the last 9 years.
