He's been the obvious weak link in the offense this season.

He is the reason the offense has sputtered recently....but be careful, there will be others jumping in here that will tell you that he has been great for a sophomore QB...and they will give you the number of yards....TD's, etc.......that he has thrown to back up their beliefs.

No doubt about it. There have tons of opportunities missed on offense because of Harris' lack of quarterbacking ability.

I'll ask again....

Please name 1 QB in the Miles tenure that was recruited, developed, progressed and succeeded??

Not sure if this is a trap. But I'll try.

Mettenberger?

They'll say he wasn't a HS recruit which he wasn't. He transferred in so we got lucky on that one.

Mett wasn't recruited or developed in this program. He transferred from JuCo and was NFL ready for the most part

Ummmm... that's the biggest reason Harris hasn't gotten better.

Ummmmm...he has poor accuracy, and no touch on short and intermediate passes.

Just curious, Mett didn't have a problem getting better....so how do you explain that?

LMAO....he was a pretty poor QB for most of 2012 until the Alabama game. He was nowhere near NFL or even major D1 college ready in 2012....he showed drastic improvement from 2012 to 2013.

Do you realize he showed up and executed the game plan. At this point in the season, Harris looks worst that Jennings did last year

you do realize Mett struggled his first full season of starting right?

This is most important and proof it can't all be the coaches' faults. Mett was completely different in year 2 from year 1. And a lot of that was on Mett. He made the decision to put in the work - film study, etc.

If you count recruiting to get JUCO Mett, then him.

But that's it.

I thought you still recruited JUCO players? He said recruited and developed. Not just high school signees. And you still have some developing to do, right? I mean, Mett seemed to get better from sophomore to senior year.

Just saying.

(outside of Mett, I agree, doesn't seem LSU has done any job of developing QB's, fwiw)

yep, I think I pointed that out earlier....he also started to show improvement towards the end of the year.....not regression.

You do understand that those are skills that can be improved through practice repetitions... oh wait, you don't. Dumbass.

2012 Mett <<< 2013 Mett
So stop talking out of your arse, dumbass.

That's the only legit knock on Miles IMO. They have missed way too much on QB recruits, but yet still win a ton of games. So is that really fireable at this point?

Not sure about Flynn...or JR....I know they weren't recruited, but they were developed...especially Flynn. JL was ruined....but he still was a much better qb his Sr. year than his Freshman year.....He led the SEC in efficiency.....Jefferson certainly never got any better...in fact, I'd say he regressed...

LSU deserves credit for Mett, but it still took him 3 years in the program and a Senior college qb to have success

he showed some flashes as a junior, but still wasn't there

People claim they can't develop QB's....which is true to a large degree....but I think it has a lot more to do with they have the wrong type of QB's that they are trying to develop. I would think that it is pretty damn hard to develop a dual threat QB into a Pro Style QB....square peg/round hole

He does not have the intellectual ability to manage the game, assess the defense, make quick decisions, and lead the team....

It is apparent all the time when he fails to make correct calls at the line, find open receivers, pitch the ball to LF7, and *&(*)(&(&%^%^%$%ing throw the ball away instead of taking sacks.
