I am declaring him the worse of the ESPN and college sports commentary bunch.
Yes, he has a worse agenda than even Golden Boy Herbstreit.
Yes, he is more aggravating than Brent Musberger.
Yes, he is the "analyst" that is happily taking the "nation is tired of all the SEC praising and domination, so we need to discount the SEC as much as we can possibly get away with, while hyping anything but the SEC schools" role that the marketers at Disney/ABC/ESPN are delineating in the board room discussions.
Yes, he is the most likely to be wrong in his predictions, because of the above listed items and him putting his emotions/agenda (hate of the SEC, love of the BIG-whatever, etc...) ahead of the brains he has. Sad thing is that he is smart, but a smart person with a bigger agenda and emotional handicap, is rendered not-so-smart in practicality.
Sure, he is articulate and played Pro ball. That applies to hundreds of athletes, but those are only a fraction of the prerequisite factors needed to be a decent football analyst and commentator.
So,the Football_Freak, for what it is worth (and you may not think that is anything, but oh well) - is declaring one Roberto Smith as the worse in all of sports commentary.

From now on, if there is any other available option, or unless it is a game/situation of extreme importance relative to my Tigers, you will not be listened to or watched.

Nah. I've thought close to this all along, but i hit my threshold. My threshold is actually pretty high, so yes I may have given him more rope to hang himself than some others, but when I hit my high threshold, NO MAS !

Smith is extremely opinionated and allows that to affect his production with some fairly extreme bias. One of the worst out there, and I usually change the channel when he is on. I give him very little credibility.

Yes, the grammar and spelling here can sometimes be embarrassing, but let's not forget the point of the op. Robert Smith is horrible.

You know what I do when all this annoying, shitty ESPN shows come on?

If you want to put your education to good use, you can start with teaching/correcting in a nice way instead of poking fun or making sarcastic remarks. Maybe people will be more willing to learn!
