After seeing the news of the CBS games this season it is clear that of the 4 SEC home games this season, most likely NONE will be at night. Since CBS gets first pick let's take a look at the SEC slate for each of LSU's 4 home games:

September 21, 2013
Auburn at LSU
Tennessee at Florida

I think this could be the closest one, but still think CBS picks the LSU game for their 2:30pm spot

October 12, 2013
Bama @ Kentucky
USCe @ Arkansas
Florida @ LSU
Mizzou @ UGA
TAMU @ Ole Miss

I think given these games, it is a no brainer that CBS would pick the UF vs LSU game for their 2:30pm slot

November 23, 2013
MSU @ Arkansas
Kentucky @ UGA
TAMU @ LSU
Mizzou @ Ole Miss
Vandy @ Tennessee

This one is a no brainer, unless both TAMU and LSU get horribly derailed this season, there is no chance in hell CBS doesn't picks the TAMU @ LSU game for 2:30pm

Friday after Thanksgiving
Arkansas @ LSU

It has already been announced that this game will be played on the Friday after Thanksgiving and will be televised by CBS at 2:30pm

So for better or worse, no home SEC night games this season. Bummer.

We will get at leas one night SEC game. The SEC has proven that it is all about tradition and it respects all of its member schools traditions so they will find a way to get us a night game. Thanks SEC...

I believe ESPN gets to pick before CBS for one week - not sure which one it is.

That's been the trend for over a decade. It's the price of success. Keeps the winning % at night high too. Even though its misleading.

October 12th I could see aTm vs OM at the 2:30 spot.

Nope. ESPN got to pick first last season because of CBS moving the game of the century to night. ESPN picked SC@LSU.

Might as well prepare for one night game a year against Towson with this new deal

We'll get the occasional LSU/Bama but it will probably be when we play in Tuscaloosa most of the time

I wonder how number of appearances will factor in though. For instance I assume the Sep. 28th game at UGA will on be on CBS as will the game at Alabama. I'm just not sure CBS would want us on 6 times unless we're having a 2011 type season.

I dunno how it's done now but ESPN used to get first pick once every season. Like within the last 2 years. Get with the program band geek

LSU could always go back to being a mediocre 7-8 win program. We'd get plenty of night games on "the duece"

Agreed. It's early in the season and UT's record won't be sucking too bad yet.
