I think there is little doubt Bama would be the choice - unless something crazy happened like we beat them by 20+ points or something.

That's not a nightmare, but you're definitely dreaming.

Can we have this conversation next Saturday after we (hopefully) beat Ole Miss?

That would actually be a great scenario. If we accomplish that, there's little chance would could continue the run for another two games. SEC Champs, avoid being embarrassed in the playoffs, and, combined with the Penn St. pass-over last year and the UGA pass-over from this hypothetical, it may be enough catalyst to get us to the 8 team playoff (as it should be; 5 conference winners and 3 at-large).

Lets just worry about getting to a good bowl game, and look forward to next year when Bama comes to our house to play a seasoned LSU team (hopefully Brennan is ready).

Dude... forget the playoffs

That ship has sailed and that shite is not happening. Stop torturing yourself.

Winning the SEC and playing in a NY6 bowl would be a tremendous improvement from where we've settled the last few years and at the beginning of this season.

We've already seen how this plays out. Bama gets a redo.

I remember hearing that the committee will take into consideration improvement over the season. If we ran the table, it's hard to say we aren't a completely different team from the beginning of the season.

But then again...Troy.

Of course. They've already set that precedent with Ohio State and Penn State last year.

It’s not that simple. It would be very likely that neither would go. A one loss big 10 championship game winner would go before LSU or Bama. A one loss pac 12 championship game winner would go before. A one loss ACC champ would go before. One loss big 12 winner would go before. If Miami has one loss they would go before. So a lot would habe to happen in order for LSU or Alabama to go given your hypothetical

What is wrong with some of you? Mental issues? Drug addiction? It's more likely that this team loses another game not including Alabama than it is that they win out. The running game is still below average and passing is inconsistent

I know what you we're trying to get at ' hypothetically'.

I was just giving you the reality of it all. We will never surpass a 1 loss Bama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan, USC, Texas, if we have 2 losses.

Who am I missing?

If that did happen (highly unlikely) the resulting chaos would be a thing of beauty and the residual taint on the CFP would be glorious.....especially if an undefeated TCU made it to the championship game against a two loss Ohio State or a third place SEC team like Bama.

I will begin my prayers to the Dark One and pledge Toddy's and Juice Terry's souls as sacrifice.
