Good for him.

This part was sad.

Spoilers instead of contenders.

Someone linked Notre Dames FB page last night and their fans hate this matchup. Majority of ND fans think their team has no chance.

this is a terrible matchup, ND has zero chance of competing in this game. I guess the time slot helps spare some national embarrassment. ND/Tennessee would have been perfect.

LSU can be beaten by most teams in the top 30....can be beaten not would be beaten. Playing without an adequate QB is a very hard thing to do.

Refreshing to hear a coach is using the rest of the season, even the bowl game to get better for next year.

Unlike Les and ALLEVA who are just trying to get to a 9th win to justify their jobs.

Do you honestly think that CLM would prefer to play Podunk U instead of the Irish? Just to win another game? Good lord. From everything that's ever been written bout him, good & bad, no one has ever said he's not an intense competitor; just the opposite is true. As for Aleva, he wanted a name game like this if for no other reason than to avoid having to pay for 1000's of unsold tickets if LSU was playing a doughnut team.

I was referring to the fact that Les has clearly chosen to try to win games with Jennings this year as oppose to giving Harris the time needed to get better FOR NEXT YEAR. Now LSU won't be much better if at all at the QB spot next year either.

As for Alleva, he is a bean counter plain and simple. Championships are not his concern plain and simple.

Other than the fact the two go hand in hand.

I wish we would scrap all of our creampuffs. I would love to play 4 decent out of conference games like Wisconsin this year.

That means only 6 home games, but we could be playing teams like Colorado or NC State or Ohio Stage home and home.

You want to compete with Saban's recruiting prowess. Tell these guys that if they come here they will make trips to play good teams and that this will test their character because we're not playing teams like ULM or the Citadel anymore. We want people that can travel to Lansing and beat Michigan State on their turf.

No matter how much better LSU may look as the game progresses, it will probably be a one score game and Notre Dame will probably get the ball with a last shot desperation drive against LSU's defense. Teams like Bama and UGA have completed those drives, while teams like Ole Miss, A&M, and Iowa have failed.

moreorles you don't know what you're talking about. you want LSU to not try to win this game. I don't want any coach that doesn't want to win football games. and what the hell does the AD have to do with this?

Wtf, everyone plays small schools. LSU at least schedules legit openers over the prior years. Oregon, TCU, and now Wisconsin.

So wtf are you talking about. The schedule is hard enough in the SEC west! There's no reason to schedule more challenging games when if you just drop one you could be out of a title chance.
