Quick text from front office exec: "Fournette just made this draft a lot more interesting. More teams will want to make move into top 5."

After summer mini-camp, he'll be around 230, and even faster. I expect him to be sub 4.5 at LSU's pro day anyway. He'll blow them away with his shuttle, and long jump too. Gonna be RoY if he goes to a half decent team, no doubt.

Yep, and that is the big question...decent team? CLE or NYJ, hope not. As much as I would hate to see it happen as a Saints fan...CAR would be a GREAT spot. Teamed with Cam, it would be a 1-2 punch like no other in the NFL. Add Benjamin at WR, Olson at TE, etc...plus their young OL. TOUGH to defend for 4 qtrs.

NFL network guys were saying they don't think he will run the 40 in his pro day. They say he has nothing to gain at this point.

Yeah, they basically just wanted to see what he could run at that size and if the ankle was truly healed. Questions answered.

He'll have unlimited opportunities to test himself on the surface he'll be running on.

If he's confident he'll run better why not?

We've had guys drastically improve times without even cutting weight. I could easily see him hitting mid 4.4s if he really wants to.
His competition, like cook, might cut some time off their 40. He should too if he can

I could see the Jets pick him especially if they end up trading Richardson and get another 1st

Fournette has 94th percentile weight-adjusted speed. 2nd-best speed score for any RB weighing 235+ in last 10 years."

But but but him at 240 is a bad sign and it shows a lack of commitment.

Is he saying that he now has a shot to go in the top 5?

cause that has always been the case

Right.

His 40 didn't move him up. People expected a great 40 from him.

He's late to the party.
