Next year at QB........my real concern that we're not really talking about

Of course, the main theme in here is either how bad AJ is today or how good BH will be next year. All fine and good. But damn, this is the SEC. QBs get dinged up or flat out put out for the season with some regularity.

My concern is that even if BH is Peyton Manning with RGIII legs, our depth is VERY problematic. If BH steps in, Next year, our backup will still be bad or, it will be a true freshman we recruit.

And, God help us if we whiff on that freshman as one would lead us to believe happened with Rettig and AJ.

This QB evaluation or development problem we have, whichever it is, has us in one hell of a bind in the coming 2 years.

The bigger concern is the front line next year to protect the QB.

I would feel perfectly comfortable, should Harris win the starting job, with having AJ as his backup. He will improve, by what margin is debatable, and has a ton of experience. AJ would possibly be one of the safest bets at backup QB in the country. How many elite teams do you think can plug in their backups and still win a championship?

but will have experience at least and will be somewhat capable of understanding and kind/sorta be able to run the offense

Does anyone know Jennings 40 time? He does not look as fast as Harris.

I just hope BH is given the chance to improve and then does so. Beating out AJ is not a given.

Just another example of poor QB recruiting and roster management at the position.

So you expect 3 SEC quality QBs to be on the roster? Starting QB goes down, every team suffers that is how it is

Everybody's backup sucks. That's why he's the backup. At least our backup will be experienced.

2016 is our GOAT recruiting class for QBs.

Harris will be our starter and we will have the SEC's most experienced back up.

Huh? How will Harris not be given a chance to improve. Lock him out if film room? Move his locker? Hide his play book?

can we also please stop with the "experience" argument.

Yes, experience is good ..... if you have talent!!

If the talent's lacking, all the experience in the world won't convert you into a competent player!!

Meaningful snaps in games. BH's challenge seems to be his composure. Knowing the offense better will help with this, so that comes with practice. But he needs to have the opportunity to gain confidence, and that only comes with experience.

If you told me that our backup QB was 8-2 as a starter and was good enough to win some games for you, im pretty sure id be thrilled with that.

We won't have a line next year.

Most people on here will probably crucify my for saying this but, next year looks gloomy.

Both offensive and defensive lines will be basically gone. I still think we win 8-10 games but not SEC title or Naty.
