I think we will use him 1 maybe 2 innings today. Just need him to throw strikes

We need way more than that from him.
He needs to be at his best. I'd be ok with a walk or two if his stuff is able to get them out in between.

If Gilbert fires a complete game, and/or LSU can drop 20 on Rasmussen, Newman literally does not need to show up.
