Yesterday i had the opportunity to purchase a parking pass in lot 408. I have attended many tailgates and now with the pass would like to start my own. I plan on hooking a television to my inverter generator, but my question is this. What range digital antenna is everyone using to catch games on CBS? Also, for espn games I was thinking about hooking my phone via HDMI cable with the watch espn app, but my guess is that for the bigger games its too many people to get a reception? What are some other options?

Pony up the money for the Dish Tailgater. Its makes setting up so easy and well worth the money as long as you or someone you know has a DISH account. You will not be able to get a good enough signal for the watch ESPN app, so this option allows you to watch any game you want during the day.

Yes they offer a month to month option for people using the tailgater only. My parents get that for their. I'm not sure on the costs.

is this and a receiver virtually the same thing as the tailgater, just cheaper?

Pretty much. However, you will have to adjust the aptitude, altitude and all that when finding a satellite.

We have the tailgater and we love it. Just plug it into the generator, plug it into the box and you're set. Don't have to mess with all the degrees of declination and stuff. It finds the satellite all on its own.

It does require a specific dish box though. Model VIP 211K.

You're only charged when you use it. We literally only use it during football season.

The tailgater was around $200, if I remember correctly. Don't recall how much the dish box was though. If I had to guess, around $100? Just ballparking it.
