Yep. We know they will get sell outs for football. You still pay to do the ads. This way you get your football out there like you would have, but you throw in a stud hoops player.
People have complained for years that LSU does nothing to try and get people to basketball games. This is a great step in the right direction.

LSU will probably take some flack nationally for "profitting off the likeness of college athletes."

Glad they are finally making a serious effort to promote basketball. The pmac should have some good criwds to start the year but I really hope LSU does some big promotions involving kids for the early non-conference games to ensure its packed and the teams gets a ton of fan interest early. Some kind of promotion the week of the game like parents pay $5 and kids under 10 get in free would be perfect. Of course you'd have to get tickets in person and not online, but LSU would make money off of a would be un-used seat and kids will leave wanting to go to more games.

It's not like LSU is the first school to have done something like this. Also, they cleared the Ben Simmons "25" campaign with him and his family.

I like it too, generates excitement and cross-promotes both programs. It's a huge deal to have both of these talented young men on campus at the same time, to a degree that some probably still do not realize.
Wish I were still living in BR so I could see these kids in person more, but luckily both teams are making a rare visit to the northeast next season.
