I am a student and I have been to 3 games so far this season at the new box and I have gotten standing room only tickets every game. Is there actually a student section at all at the new box or is it just very limited and I haven't gotten there early enough to get tickets for actual seats yet? If there is no student section, does anyone have any idea how student tickets for the regional or super regional will work?

The student section is taken up by these big mean bullies at the top of the right field bleachers all the way at the end. Its where the student section is supposed to be. You can go stand there next time and ask them to move.

There are some student section tickets, the only time i have ever gotten them was this past sunday when it was freezing so noone went to the games. Every other ticket has been standing room only fo rme. I believe the student sections are 101 & 102

there will be a limited amount for regionals for students, good luck, most of the games will be standing room only for students, unless the opponent really sucks and the weather is shitty. Like, you might get an actual seat at Miss. Valley St.

Word from the Ticket Office is that the Student Attendance through the first 4 games of the season was equal to 25% of last years entire student numbers.

Sections 101 and 201 and maybe 102 are primarily student seats. It depends on the game/series. But with the exception of Opening Night, it isn't that hard to find a seat.

Yeah i figured most of the games would be sro for students, that sucks, but then again I have spent 2 out of 3 games in the gold seats by the 3rd base dugout

We got SRO tickets to the game last Saturday. We wound up sitting near first base since there were a lot of open seats. Of course, the seats began to clear even more due to the ridiculous wind and we wound up leaving after the 2nd inning...

So how do they do this? Is the ticket just GA and you find a place if you can? I have noticed where there will be some students come sit in my section and they are really taking some season holder's seats and becomes and issue when the holder shows up.

They just give us tickets that say Standing Room Only. It's up to us to find empty seats or stand up. I don't see how it would be an issue unless the student for some reason refuses to give the seats up to the season ticket holder, which would be absurd.

How's it an issue? Ask the guy to move, simple as that.

Almost Everytime I have seen this the holder just chooses to sit someplace else which is further down the line. I guess it doesnt matter if it doesnt bother them but many people will choose not to confront them and still not be happy about it. They really shouldnt be put in that situation in the first place. I have never sat in anyone's seat unless it was empty going into the 3rd inning that has always been my own rule. I would rather see a student section or some policy set up before tempers flare.

There is one:

101, 201, and SRO. And a policy that exists with SRO seats: they are welcome to sit down, if a ticket holder with the marked seats arrives those with the SRO seats must move.

I'm pretty sure all Season Ticket holders know this...

I must have missed that in my season ticket holder package. But like I said I have seen in each game the person's seats get occupied then see them show up only to sit further down the line. Your older generations will choose to sit someplace else rather than confront a group of kids. My point is that LSU should not force its ticket holders to have to confront in some cases drunk college students.

When LSU played Tulane at the Box during a regional they almost had fights break out because people got shuffled around so much then one stupid Tulane fan showed up and demanded his seat. But of course they only sat there because someone was in their seat who sat in their seat for the same reason...etc.

What is so hard to understand that a 70 year old couple should not have to approach a hord of drunk 20 year olds and tell them to move.. If you dont think that in at least 5% of the time the drunk kids will not respond nicely you are not living in reality. Why is that concept so difficult for you? They should just be able to show up at the game and sit in the seats they pay alot of money for that they chose for themselves. You would NEVER see this in Tiger Stadium.. I sure as hell would love to move down from the upper deck and sit in some of Manships seats that cost thousands of dollars when they are empty. In the same manor I saw a suite box with all empty seats the other night.. I was not going to go sit down in there and wait and see if anyone showed up. Waiting until the 3rd inning STANDING up like the tickets state is not a hard thing to understand.

LSU would prob would side with you if the season ticket holders showed up to all the games, but they don't, and over 1,000 season ticket holder seats go unused for most games

just curious, exactly what percentage of students do you think show up drunk to baseball games?
