have family in the band, saw the new unis via snapchat...
more streamlined, but largely the exact same uniform with some cleaner lines.

The biggest design change you'll see is the underside of the sleeves and the sides of the uniform are purple. It's supposed to have a "slim" look to it. Also the hats have a minor detail change that you can notice in the picture.

Haven't seen them myself, but comparing the old and new shakos, it looks like there's been a subtle but impactful change to the logo. I REALLY like this change to a bolder gold outline.
Also, the logo is on both a white and purple background now and seems to be bigger. Both solid changes.

LSU's band uniforms are very dated. I wouldn't mind a whole new look. Same goes for the Golden Girls with their big hair and the Colorguard and their huge arse bell bottom pants. While they're at it, 86 all of the 80's music too. I wouldn't cry if I never heard Ants Marching or Jungle Boogie again.
