Never seen anything like this before in any sport at any level.

Like it or not, the decision is made. I can't say I agree with it. In fact, I disagree with it.
One thing is for sure. Alleva may have AD as his title, but there is no doubt Les Miles runs the show at LSU. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but if there was a power play, Les won it hands down, and he knows it.
What happened tonight will be studied by PR firms for a long time. It's flat out unprecedented. Les and his team (and there was certainly a team) showed a masterful grasp on the media and how to use it to one's advantage. It was perfect.
I'd love to say I'll reserve judgement to see what kind of changes Les will make, but I'm pretty much accepting whatever happens with zero expectations at this point.
I'll continue to wear purple and gold and root for LSU but I think tonight we accepted mediocrity as a long term goal, and the admin got their arse handed to them in historic fashion.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong. We'll see next year. Maybe they'll get em next year.
