I swear this game gives my stomach ulcers every year.... Aside from the mercy knee game, it doesn't matter how much more talent we have they play us to the wore... this game is their super bowl and the one our team forgets is on the schedule... and of all teams in the SEC I hate losing to these guys the worst

A trap game for sure. I'd say 31-30 LSU right now

A trap game is when your good, probably undefeated and expected to destroy your opponent yet you overlook them.

We are neither undefeated or a finished product they better play every one with same intensity they played with last week starting in 2nd qtr. Nothing is a given for this team.

Agreed.

I'd love to see all the assholes in this thread talking about how dangerous and scary Ole Miss is every year go back and post how they reacted in 2013 after that loss.

All we heard for years was what an absolute embarrassment that loss was and how it showed the previous coach was done.

Not to mention that it was THE game that started the Miles firing squad in 2015. And those were good Ole Miss teams.

Now they're all oh no not Oxford!!!

Never mind that they don't even have a head coach, got beat 66-3 by Alabama two weeks ago, and won't even go to a bowl game

I just think that at this point you can't take anything for granted.

Shea is passing real well and Ole Miss is putting up points. They are 3-0 at home, but against weak opponents.

Defensively they are giving up 43 points per game vs D1 opponents so we should have success on O.

Most people thought we would lose bad to Auburn so I wouldn't mark the game up as a win. We should win handily, but we know that's not always the case.

Going out on a limb here with a prediction: the coaches actually will have the team mentally prepared, and we take care of business (that is, we play to our abilities and not our opponents, whether or not we ultimately win).

This is just my perception and I could be wrong...
but it seems as if our Offense is milder in the first half.
Almost as if Canada does not want to show his hand until they can no longer make adjustments ???

.. but I surely wish we could come out of the gates faster.

Y'all, we haven't won in Ole Miss since the 2011 mercy knee. It's been a long time. Thanks, Les.
That's only twice...

The one thing I'll give Orgeron credit for is he was able to get the team focused for Arky last year after Bama. That was a big issue for YEARS. So we should be focused but I still keep my expectations low. Should be a close one.

I expect a good old fashioned beat down of the Webels.

We are overdue for a beatdown, this team has found it's footing, the coaching staff is calm and resolute, and Ole Piss is a shitty team.

41-17 LSU

That's the only good thing that came out of that loss, took too long though. Miles should've been gone before that.

LSU already learned not to take a team too lightly. I don't think we'll see a letdown at Ole Miss.

I think it remains to be seen whether they've learned it or not. Since Troy we've had Florida and Auburn, two games where they've been able to use the "us against the world" tactic.

The Rebs have one of the worst running games in CFB. I can't wait for us to tee off on Shea.

Would you say that Troy had a solid backfield? All depends which LSU team shows up baw.

I would be also. Very few "breeders" there.

I don’t understand why people keep using the term “trap game”

We have lost to Troy and State, nothing on the rest of our schedule can be a “trap”

Trap games are for undefeated or 1 loss teams that may frick up and get an unexpected loss. It’s a rivalry and SEC game, tell me what the trap aspect is?

Miles' career record after playing Saban: 7-2

Miles would have run roughshod over that awful Arkansas defense that couldn't stop the run to save their lives last year too.

Rightfully so. Gonna be tough to maintain that level of intensity for two weeks.
