I saw some of this on sec rant, but I'd rather get the facts from tiger rant. Who gets what money and how is it split? Thanks

Except the money is split between all SEC teams. So no...

I'm not positive how the money is split, however.

Each bowl team used to get expenses first. Then the remainder of the bowl purse was added to other SEC bowl payouts, then divided equally between all of the SEC teams with a full share going to fund the SEC office. At least that is what it used to be - not positive it is that way anymore.

All money SEC teams receive from playing in bowl games goes into a big pot. Then, after each bowl team is reimbursed for expenses, the money is split 13 ways with each school and the SEC office getting a share.

Pretty sre that it split 13 ways (15 after the new teams come in), with each school sharing an equal part between the 12 schools and the SEC itself.

Contrary to the Huff post "inequality" article, I think it's bullshite that they decrease the payout to the second team if a conference has two teams in. It should be the same payout regardless of who the team is or what conference they are from.

I believe they deduct our expenses and split the rest.
