This particular draft has Marcus Thornton slipping into the first round at pick #28.
Neither Chris Johnson or Tasmin are listed.

DraftExpress

This mock draft has Marcus Thornton being drafted in the top 1/3 of the second round with pick #39. It also has Chris Johnson being selected late in round two at pick #55.

NBADraft.net 2009 Mock Draft

This same sight has Tasmin Mitchell being drafted in the late 2nd round of the 2010 draft.

NBADraft.net 2010 Mock

The following mock draft only projects the first round and they have Marcus Thornton being selected with the last pick of the first round.

It appears that Marcus Thornton has a decent chance of working himself into the late first round. The highest Chris Johnson's stock can get is probably mid second round with late second round being likely. Tasmin has no shot at being selected in the first round of the 2009 draft and his chances for the second don't look great either. All signs indicate he will be returning to LSU for his senior season to play small forward. It was really a no-brainer for him to at least throw him name out there. I think at least one of these guys will stick in the league with the possibility of two. It's nice to see an influx of LSU talent in recent years with Shaq's career winding down.

Marcus Thornton = Eddie House. I'd love to see him get minutes and play like that.

Brady definitely got good big men. No one can deny him that. Pretty accomplished/dominating SEC list.

Smith
Swift
Dupree (not really a big, but forced)
Lloreda
Bass
Davis
Thomas
Randolph

All NBA players except for Lloreda, but he was just as dominant as any of them IMO.

There is no doubt LSU has produced solid big men over the last decade. Now, maybe LSU will finally have a guard in the league! D-Mitch could have made it with MT's size. I know this might sound crazy, but maybe LSU will find an NBA caliber point guard one day....

Thornton can shoot and the Hornets need shooters...i've been picturing him in teal for a long time....he's going to make some NBA team very happy....he will be a steal

I don't think Thornton is as one dimensional as House. IMO he's more similar to Flip Murray

I have no idea how in the hell anyone would draft Johnson, he obviously can not put on weight, he has tried for years. He will not get drafted.

Judging strickly from what I seen on the court, if Wayne Ellington from UNC is available the hornets should pick him over Thornton. Ellington has a better overall game than Thornton. shite, our best defender couldn't stop him in the tourney.

Thornton certainly improved his stock by proving he's capable of playing defense. He certainly responded to TJ's coaching style.

size(6'11), length, shot blocking. teams in that late second round wont mind taking a flyer on a player like CJ, he did well at portsmouth a couple weeks ago, wasnt forced to take on the other teams big guy as he was playing with jon brockman and korvotney barber and he hit a few mid range jumpers. you see a lot of teams go for size in the second round whether its a guy like CJ who they've seen in college or a somewhat unknown international commodity.

i still believe thornton can make his way into the late first with some good performances at the workouts.

taz will be back at LSU and i sure hope they can have a nice season to send him out the right way.

I would like the hornets to take Ellington but one draft has Thornton going to the Cavs, I would love that for Marcus. He would be going into a great situation like big baby

the hornets definitely need to take this draft seriously. if thornton goes late first and CJ goes late second they'd both be going into good situations as far as the teams they play for. id like to see a team like boston or houston take CJ late second.

Are the Bulls really going to draft 2 PF's? Thomas, Noah, Hansbrough, and Johnson

Also, I'd hate to see the Hornets pass on Ellington and Thornton.

with Byron as coach, why bother drafting anyone? The Hornets should just sell the picks and pick up some more washed up free agents. Is JKidd available after this year?

No.

Last year he had a midrange game. This year he struggled mightily at times to shoot the basketball.

I think so. He projects more as a SF than anything in the pros.
