It's as simple as this link from And The Valley Shook.

It's the Data (raw W's & L's) versus the metadata (the How in reaching the W or L, and the Who the W or L came at the hands of).

The Data makes us seem as Kornheiser says...petulant.

The metadata makes us feel as sure as ever that Miles simply isn't the man to lead us to the promised land anymore.

National Media Perspective

My perspective: the national media (Mike and Mike, cornhizer, etal) know dick about college football. Throw Cowhurd in.

Finebaum is a Bama homer and a tool.

Don't know what Herbstreit, et al are saying but at least they do know college football.

Out of 110 wins, at least 65 of them were hard to watch, 24 of them we were losing in the fourth quarter, and most of them we won with a great defense thanks to the great defensive coordinators and the fact that we had more talent than the other team. Add to the fact that we've been on a downward trend and have lost 5 games by more than 14 points the last two years while going 13-10 in the SEC the last 3. What part of that makes anyone think we are headed in the right direction with miles? Great man, great recruiter, just an OK coach. Truth
