Finally going back to Death Valley. Last time my wife and I went to a game was the game where LSU snapped the streak of home losses to Bama and won 30-28. I still have a chunk of the purple south end zone grass in a ziploc labeled in my freezer.

4 kids will slow down the trips. At any rate looking forward to seeing the Tigers play this weekend.

I planted the piece of end zone on my front lawn. It didn't last long, but the memory will never die.

ETA: welcome back

Nov 4, 2000 was my first LSU game! I remember two guys running out onto the field with hardhats on during one of the commercial breaks. Everyone thought they were part of the entertainment until they mooned the crowd. Hilarity ensued when they were chased down by security. I also remember hearing that vasoline was put on the goalposts to keep people from climbing on them. That didn't stop one guy who was standing on the cross bar as the goalposts were brought down.

Closest to a riot I think I ever saw TS when the ref was going to give Bama the ball on that muffed punt...that LSU recovered! Saban basically convinced them to watch the replay on the jumbotron.

I was at that game. Awesome atmosphere. I remember the officials using the Jumbotron in the North Endzone to review a play, even though plays weren't allowed to be reviewed at that time.

Me, too. Bringing the Mrs. for her first ever trip, and first time I've been back in ages. Since Stovall, I think. FSU game, maybe (I know I was there for that one).

Need a ride to Tuscaloosa in a few weeks? A little bit of that mojo can't hurt.
