He came in town a couple nights ago and I was wearing a SEC Champs shirt. First words out of his mouth "You're still wearing that huh?"

My response: "Of course"

I didn't even know what to say. I have had a couple people comment, I wore my LSU dress shirt to work the Friday after the BCS and people razzed me about it. Why wouldn't we wear our colors? Especially in a time like this where people are down on the team, this is the time to show you are a proud fan.

Did you wear your colors immediately following the game?

about half of my clothes are some shade of purple or gold, so I can't really avoid it, not like I would have anyway

I still even wear my BCS championship shirt and hoodie that I got, haha.

It sucks. Here in Houston you can't wear any LSU shite without getting snide remarks.

Same for my bro in ATL.

Tell him he will be lucky if you are half as dedicated to his daughter as you are to the tigers.

Wore my P&G the very next day. My wife said, "You're being a good example for the kids." It was the only example. My two boys and daughter were shocked that I was sporting LSU stuff. I sat them down and said that you're either a fan or you're not...I'm a tiger and always will be. Good or bad. I lived through the lean 89-96 seasons as a student at LSU...I guess it taught me to be a good fan...not matter what.

People expect me to wear LSU stuff. I wear it win or lose. I am proud to be an LSU fan. I am sure some of the fair weather fans on this board probably don't feel the same.

Kind of like when I couldn't give my Saints season tickets up to anyone back in the early 2000's.

Now, I can sell preseason tickets!

To hell with the band-wagoners.

Yeah, I have a feeling he might have burned the shirt while the guy was still wearing it.

I wore my P&G for the next several days after the NC. I heard ppl whispering "LSU?" "He got on LSU stuff..." "LSU, smh..." around me but I still love the Tigers and I'm proud to wear the P&G.

Here in East Texas, most of the snide remarks come from Hog fans and I simply remind them that regardless of score, at least we got to go to the DANCE. Silence then.
