I really hope the light has come on for Frank Herron. When Aranda goes to the 3-3 front, Neal and Herron will be the DEs and Godchaux will be the nose. If Frank has improved like many insiders are saying, they will generate a pretty good rush from the 3 DL.

So you dont think Valentine factors in anywhere?

Boy that whole board has changed. TV and Gilmore, and likely Ed Alexander will more than likely be at the Nose Guard Positions. GodChaux will be at DE, and Neal and Herron will be at the Other DE, with some of the Freshmen subbing in IMO...

This is an old visual from before TV was eligible.

Valentine will definitely be a factor. I think the 3-3 will be used more on passing downs, although it will be interesting to see what Aranda runs versus spread teams.
Auburn, MSU are power spread teams. I think we run more basic 3-4 versus them. UF, A&M, and OM are passing spread teams. We probably see more 3-3. HUNH teams will likely limit how much Valentine plays, but maybe Valentine has a ton of endurance.

Replace LaCouture with Godchaux. Godchaux for Gilmore/Valentine. Godchaux will still play NG in. passing situations.

That 3-3 could be used on passing downs with Neal/Godchaux/Herron on the line for a speed rush and have Key on either side. #Scary

You might want to add divinity and white to those LB positions.

I wish I could add to it but the graphic comes from the advocate newspaper.

We actually have depth on that dline again. Been a while. Add KB as a big time leader at lb and Adams and TW in secondary. This defense will be scary good. This could be 2011 with a better qb and rb group.

Obviously the personal information isn't accurate (Lacoutoure in lineup and Divinty, White, Vslentkme not in lineup) but the info is awesome. Can't wait to mind fuch offenses

The real advantage of TV in any situation is that he demands at least 2 OLmen to control him...this then frees up a LB to blitz at will when he sees an opening...remember what Gilmore said...that TV is powerful enough to move the pile even when 2 OLmen are on him...

And I see White on the Field, a lot..He might just be in Nickle, or the 4th LB(whatever we call it now), and Donte, at corner. Going to have to tape this game, and see all the formations, and who blitzes/and who covers....

I really hope these freshman perform well because we could sure use them for depth. If they can provide quality depth we will have a great year on defense. Without them I think we will be ok but come November we will need a good rotation. Lawd we need some linebackers in this class and some good ones!
