"Credit to the 188-pound Blanton Creque for sticking his nose in there and trying to become Joey Julius for a day. We will honor your memory."

My hot take is that the kid should get credit for challenging and going high.

It cost him, but he went for it.

Exactly. He's a kicker vs a top 5 RB in the nation. It's being overblown.

My thing with the kid is that he is going to be a highlight gif forever because he was cleaned out so badly but he was the kicker and saved a TD. The fact that he went man to man is kind of bad arse.

He shouldn't be made fun of.

And the fact he got up and laughed it off too, good for him.

Am a huge DG fan, but trucking the kicker is nothing like trucking a LB or DB. Not much to get too excited about in my opinion.

I agree but the announcer saying "kickers are people too" had me rolling

The hit wasn't even that bad, not even close to what LF did to a few cats. Props to both players on good clean football.

Had it been me, I would have just tried to push him out of bounds, rather than get in front of Guice. I remember the Sports Science thing on Fournette talking about the faster moving object will win every time. That poor kicker jumped in front of a train and just stood there like a deer caught in headlights...Props to him, but not so smart.

This is the only correct reply.

He should be made fun of for his tackling inability.

Of course the smaller kicker was totally overmatched. Props to Guice. Magnificent hit and leveling by Guice of that smaller kicker with his 20 mph + speed down the sideline. Guice looked super good on that return.

The smaller kicker, however, forced Guice out of bounds on the return. He did "good". But that's what football is all about - do your best. Man on man - for your team.

Yeah, the kicker got trucked. But he stood up. He represented. I really respected him after that Rudy type "take one for the team".

Both players were playing football. It's what it's all about...

I love that Guice did his job and brought the pain. However, if I were that kid's coach, I would be talking that kid up in front of the team for taking a big hit to save a score. That's how you want every guy to play.

He was responding "I'm still alive" to people who tweeted that he was killed.

He's a KICKER. They have no, or very little, tackling ability. They're NOT supposed to.
