I have to say, I known nothing about this. Did they film that during a football game?

I was there and it was the 87 Alabama game. Hodson was hurt and Mickey Guidry played QB.The scenes on the field were shot during halftime on the north end so the run you see goes from north to south. They shot it several times. Before the game fans were asked to wear 50s style clothes for the movie. After the game they got everyone dressd like that on the east side and shot the crowd scenes. We lost the game even though we had a better overall team because Guidry was no Tommy Hodson.

they may have filmed some scenes during the Alabama game but the crowd scenes with the yellow shakers were the Miss St game. I remember thinking how odd it was that the whole stadium was getting shakers for such a minor game. It was because the movie studio gave them out for filming

Seen it? I'm in it. I was in Tiger Band at the time, and we had several shots, including a filming at the state capitol in January.

They filmed during several games. I can't remember which plays were filmed during which game.

They painted the field different all year for the film. They had "Tigers" in a Broadway font in the end zone and a purple Louisiana silhouette in the middle of the field. When they weren't filming, the silhouette had a "LSU" in the same font as the end zones and a star in the location of Baton Rouge.

That was the Mississippi State game. It was homecoming. They filmed the scene two times during halftime. Side note: Jeff Wickersham is the Georgia QB.

Also in the stadium but not in 50s clothes. Didn't the Grey Ghost stay at CCLA during filming? There were some stories

They did film both games. That scene in the movie is from the State game.

Looks like they shot it at both games because they certainly did it several times at the Alabama game.

My brother was one of the football players in the pep rally scene. He wasn't a real LSU player, but he's a pretty big guy, so they gave him a letter jacket
