Move BDP from special teams coach to recruiting coordinator please

He is easily one of the best recruiters on staff behind Frank Wilson and he doesn't belong anywhere near the special teams.

Orgeron is getting that Recruiting coordinator job and a pay raise

I love BDP's ribs, but no way I want him over Coach O as head recruiter. BDP did hug me after the Ole Miss game on the field...acted like he had known me all my life

I know those rankings are from a reliable source but there ain't no way in hell BDP is a better recruiter than Frank or Ed. That link just proves how subjective recruiting is.

yea, people think it goes to "the best recruiter". That's dumb
O was recruiting coordinator at USC tho. He does have some experience there.

I think BDP is a disaster. Les thinks otherwise and he is in a better position to know.

Bingo. He's gonna make more than Frank did this past season with or without the RC title.
Shea seems confident that the recruiting coordinator title is gonna be given to Austin Thomas and a pure position coach is going to be hired. Let Thomas do what he's really good at, the logistics, and let the coaches do the actual boots on the ground recruiting.

I don't claim he's a recruiting "genius." I'm stating he is a highly regarded and successful recruiter, particularly at LSU.
Like you, I am underwhelmed by his recent ST units, although he was decent in his first stint as LSU's ST Coordinator. His linebacker position coaching has been adequate as well.
But to deny he is an elite recruiter is simply bias against him personally.
