My sons senior year he wanted sideline tickets to a big SEC game so I got 50yd line tickets to the Ole Miss game. Thanks to Damn Strong Tailgating and to a great football game he had a great time.

Probably being with my dad in an Alabama section for the Game of The Century. Everything about that day and experience is something that gives me indescribable feelings of emotion. People may think some are crazy and stupid for being so invested in a sports team, but it's those moments that make it so much more than just being a fan. Another personal moment was storming the field with my dad after LSU clinched the west in 2001. I was about 6 years old, but I will never forget how excited and in awe my dad was that we were going to play for an SEC championship. That always stuck with me

After a paused attempt of storming the field against #2 Tennessee in 2000, watching the whole overtime of that game standing with my feet on the out of bounds line in the endzone with 5000 other students that had already jumped down out of the stands and couldn't get back up. LSU wisely picked the north EZ for OT and Rohan to Royal scored on the first play. Tenn went 4 and out as all the sidelines of people packed like sardines were screaming their heads off. When the game was over, there was just a huge push of humanity and exuberation from behind us towards the goal post. It was all I could do to keep my feet underneath me and not get trampled. It was the biggest win at LSU since the '97 Florida game, and the first big win under our new coach Saban. We had just lost to UAB and nobody gave us a chance, except the packed house for a night game in Tiger Stadium. I really remember the smell of the field that night. The whole field smelled like feet and armpit, as you could tell that the players from both teams left everything on the field that night. All that was left to do was spark up a J at midfield and let the dynasty begin.

Long story but had 2 extra tickets in the upper deck of the dome for the '03 National Championship Game. Had offers at tailgate and 2 guys locked it in and said they would be back with cash. They ran off and I declined other offers trying not to screw the guys over. Didn't pay for the tickets so I wasn't trying to make a killing but certainly a profit. Well the guys didn't come back. Headed to the dome early with most of the crowd still looking for the 2 guys. Overheard a little boy (probably about 6-7yrs old) asking his dad why they couldn't go to the game. Dad responded with the cost being up there and they were going to watch it at home. Stopped and handed him the 2 extra tickets. Guys eyes welled up and he looked like he was about to cry and he just told his son to tell me Thank You. Gave me a hug and handshake and we chatted on the walk in.

when i was a kid my grandfather used to take me to his office in the quad. its always been a family deal. i remember being at a track meet with my dad and he sat down next to joe dean and talked to him for a solid half hour. i also remember going fishing and seeing coach brown walking around his house with shaq.

In 2009 I went to a baseball game and sat in one of the boxes, Skip made his rounds and ended up talking to me for about an hour. It was amazing the things he remembered about the 80s. I was a decent baseball player and he had just started at LSU. I wasnt LSU or even D1 good, but somewhere in my Moms house is a letter from Skip. I told him about it, kinda laughing. He went on to tell me my coaches name, and remembered who from our district was good, and who he remembered making playoff runs. Not specifics, but he had the gist of it down pat.

Told him I had a son on the way, he told me to make sure I looked him up in 18 years
