The talent on both sides could be even better.

2011 and 2012 would have beaten that 2007 team

per the usual, it all comes down to QB play... if we see more of the same as last year, expect the same sort of results as last year... if not, we will do better...

it's pretty simple really....

Lol. 2011 would rip that 2007 team a new arse hole. 2012 vs 2007 would be an exciting game

Did you watch 1/9?
Sec title game?
Special teams and our swag defense carried us

2012 team after the Texas A&M game would've definitely beat the 2007 team. Mett started to gel in the BAMA game and our defense was still nasty that year

did you watch LSU vs Kentucky in '07?

2011 LSU would have beaten 2007 LSU by 24+

2011 was an all-time team. 2012 was a great, great team.

2015 probably won't rival those two.

That's just in recent years. The 2006 team was even better than the 2012 team.

I'd argue the 2005 and 2006 teams were better than that 2007 team

With this talent and this coaching staff,I think les got it right.we've had good coaches but with holes since then.
We waited on last years class to come in and we gotta good one this year as well, but this staff and this talent is gonna be fun to watch.

I honestly have a really good feeling about this year. As already stated, QB play is everything.

But this team is very talented top to bottom.

How was 2012 a "great, great team" when they lost 3 games, barely beat a shitty Auburn team, looked pedestrian against North Texas, only won by 16 against Towson, and coughed up late leads against Bama & Clemson and had a very average OL?

I'm going to say the 2006 team like the 1969 team were among if not the best LSU teams in history.

The 2007 team was devastated with injuries, yet came back to be NCs...look at the first 3 games and the last game against OSU when they were basically healthy.I have never been prouder of an LSU team

2011 had great talent, The special teams were completely awesome and the defense as well. I'm done crying over the rematch that year on what was clearly Bama's best team.

The 2012 team reminded me of the 1982 team, both could have been NC type teams.

This year it all comes down to QB play, I am a bit worried about the DE and LB and WR positions. I think LSU has talent at all of them, but I want to see what they can do.

The QB play is the key.
