If you look at Etling's October it was very solid.

LSU was 8th in the country in total offense in October. They were 20th nationally in passer rating in October with 25 attempts/game.

By comparison LSU was 110th in total offense through September. They were 114th in passer rating over that time.

I appreciate all he is doing for the team. Is he perfect? NO. Is he ready to jump into the first round draft? NO.

But he also hasn't really done anything wrong to be sh!t on either by sports personalities. He's taken charge of the team and I've seen him talking and encouraging other players when they screw up or something happens. This is the biggest part IMO of what we needed out there. A LEADER. Until then, why don't we just lay off the kid until he deserves some crap because if anything, I think he's earned a ton of respect for what he has accomplished. That doesn't mean I think he's above any critique, but to rag on him isn't close to fair considering what he's done for the team unless you aren't a fan of LSU.

Pocket Presence: A

He got smacked right in the face last week on a sack fumble that nearly knocked him out of the game. I'm gonna say he doesn't have "A" pocket presence. B at best

The fact that people on here can't admit that Etling is not great is hilarious to me. He's fine. He's good even. And that's all we need. But to say shite like "He has a great arm! Man, you're dumb!" is straight up comical. He has the arm of a whacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man.

He doesn't need to have a great arm. Just needs to deliver the ball on time to his receivers. But he isn't going to zing one into tight coverage on the strength of his arm. To disagree is either being disingenuous or wilfully blind.

You have to try real hard to put that one on Etling. He had his back to that side on the play action and didn't even get his feet set before he got drilled. The TE whiffed on chipping that guy leaving Tehuma to block 2 guys.

Macaroni is over cooked and gummy!
His show consist of bad takes and rants that deserve maybe two minutes and he stretches to half hour. His sports knowledge is lacking as far as industry standards go, in addition to almost no show prep as far as research is concerned. You can hear him rehash local and national shows almost verbatim. The only reason to listen is if you like the sound of his voice. I don't.
