More excited about what happened when Benny was off the floor.

That has got to be scary for our opponents going forward, as we didn't miss a beat when he went out and KY was caught flat-footed. Having to scheme for a team playing 9-11 deep can be a nightmare. If Blakeney ever becomes a real scoring threat (and he can) we will be down right scary.

Just need to get to the tourney.. That team last night can beat anyone in the country.

Epps really stepped up once Ben got 2 fouls.

I hope Blakeney catches fire soon. I had high expectations after exhibition and first games of the season.

If this team is getting bench play like that the rest of the way from Quarterman, Epps & Patterson then we'll be a dangerous team.

agree completely, except Blakeney, he needs to find his groove, he's been disappointing to say the least.

TQ looked great except for a couple ill advised 3's, Epps was a surprise to me as well

High hopes going forward

This or Blakeney just needs to learn that he is not an offensive threat right now and just concentrate on being a good defender and rebounding guard which he is athletic enough to do. They have plenty of people to score if he can do that and shoot less than he does now then he will be ok. I have zero confidence and think he doesn't have any either when he goes up for a shot.

Victor has really changed this entire team offensively and defensively.

Having Epps being able to play a true 4 and even pop out to the perimeter is such a huge weapon for us

Same here. Epps is doing what I expected coming out of HS. A man with that frame who can shoot is very scary. This teams losses this season makes me sick considering the talent both on the floor and bench. This team makes the tourney and hearts will break to the tune of double digit loses to the Tigers. I've got faith

Patterson looked really good last night. If Blakeney doesn't get out of his slump I wouldn't mind seeing Patterson get more PT.

I understand your point, but Blakeney is not shooting an inordinate amount of times. My guess is his slump shows in games and not so much in practice. You have to shoot to get past the slump.

Agree completely which is why I was miffed at the fact that they lost some very winnable games early in the year.

Epps stepped up big dude and if you weren't stupid you could see he made 3 shots. All in first half. 8 points as soon as Ben goes out was huge. It was Darnell lazarre against duke type thing when we had foul trouble. Stepped up and bridged the gap

Agreed! Biggest impact was Kentucky realized he was a threat and had to be guarded closely!

Disagree completely. If you want to win a title this year with Simmons, you get the blue chip talent out of his slump no matter what it takes unless it's costing you a chance at a tourney bid cause the difference is just THAT bad.

Craig Victor changed this team completely.

I don't think Antonio should be benched completely He's going to find his groove soon enough, I just think Patterson deserves more playing time.

Patterson doesn't turn the ball over, makes smart shot selection and is a great facilitator to other players. I don't know why JJ always puts Gray in as the first guard off the bench. Patterson deserves that spot IMO.
