LSU D-Line was better to free up Minter against Bama.
Notre Dame's D-Line was probably better than LSU's last year. Minter is more athletic while Te'o is more instinctual but not by much imo. Outside of the INT's, Minter had just as much of an impact as Te'o while playing against better competition.

Minter is such a beast.

Te'o will be practice squad and forgotten in 2 years....Undersized...slow...If he wasnt at ND and had all the publicity he would not be in any conversation....IMHO...Bama made him look like he was JV.

Minter lacks that big NFL size of a thumper in the middle. In my mind he plays like he is 6'2" he is 250 plus. He is instinctive and smart. The only thing I can think of that might be a knock on him is he is slightly shorter and undersized. He also maybe doesn't have Patrick Willis type athleticism.

I said it back during the Heisman Award presentation and I'll say it again: "The fact that Te'o is a Heisman finalist is an absolute disgrace to college football."

You're quoting yourself? Did Abe Lincoln quote himself? I said it before, "Four score ..."

Duece, Teo made some plays against weak weak opposition. Did you see minter versus Bama and Florida.

There are two things Teo never touched

1. His Girlfreind
2. Eddy Lacey

Minter will be taking before Te'o. Remember how overated Quinn was just a few years ago? Same thing!

Minter is a stud, kid will be all over the field in the nfl like Ray Lewis....Te'o is just like the overrated USC players that come out every year, a product of their rich college heritage.

But ESPN said he was the greatest

The ESPN crawler yesterday had Kiper's top 10 draft prospects AND Teo who was ranked 20th. I had to laugh.

NFL Network's Path to the Draft's Bucky Brooks completely glossed over Minter's improved 40 time at the pro day yesterday. Rewind 24 hours and Teo is rising due to his faster 40.

It's all laughable. I'd take Minter everyday over the ND linebacker.

He seemed to make big plays when Notre Dame needed them the most. I think that's one thing scouts like him over Minter for. I seem to remember he had several clutch moments where he just made a huge play. Like an INT in critical moments. Minter was great but can you say he ever saved a game in a critical moment like that? They probably think he's a better playmaker than the other LBs...

Notre Dame was in that position where they needed a big play to stay in the game or win the game a lot more than LSU was last season. Thus more opportunities for Teo to do something. And it was against lesser competition. Minter didn't have the interception numbers that Teo did but he was a tackling machine and all over the field in some huge games for LSU.

If I remember correctly weren't 4 or 5 of Teo's interceptions off of tip balls. Gimme's! So they don't count in my book.

Minter in the Florida game was insane.

Minter may not be all that tall but he is certainly not lacking of size to play the middle. 246 pounds at 6 ft tall is very bulked up.

Curtis Lofton is 6' 240 pounds.

Heisman is a joke, been saying that for years. Te'o should not have been in the running even it it was exclusively a defensive players award... or even just a LB award. He is NOT a top five LB.

The whole concept is stupid. Pitting a defensive lineman against a QB!!! How do you compare? Stupid!!!

Let see it is suppose to be the best player in college football right? Well how is it that the supposed best player in college football is almost never on the defensive side of the ball? Should be statistically about 50% of the time!

How is it a lineman never seems to win it. More lineman than any other position???

Heisman = load of crap

fricking this. Florida couldn't move the ball at all until Minter got injured. He was single handedly keeping their offense in check. He gets injured and goes out and they immediately march down the field no problem...

ND's front 7 appeared better than LSU's until it got real against Bama.

Any team that plays in the SEC is a better team overall IMO til proven otherwise. ND's front 7 was deceiving because of the competition.

Linebackers dont get paid to get interceptions. Minter faced a hell of a lot more NFL caliber talent than Teo. I said it before: I dont get how the embarrassment of a game Teo had against Bama doesn't throw up a ton of red flags.

Te'o's hype=ND's AD's superior marketing capabilities. We see this selling of ND players as being the the next greatest one to come down the road year after year, yet when all said and done it is usually just empty hype..Remember Ron Powlus??? ND's AD are just snake oil salesmen, and damn good ones at that.
