Miles goes ahead and takes over full control. No more middle man just him making the game plan and calling plays. Hire a true QB coach and that is all he does. On the sidelines when the qb comes off to talk to face to face.
Les got a HC job because he was a good coordinator. It would probably avoid a lot of confusion and if it still fails atleast the fans would know who to truly blame.

I can see a record number of delay of game penalties.

dumbest thread ever. Miles has only been successful when his coordinators have full control. He can't think of a play fast enough to get the play in. Why the hell do you think they look so damn lost and confused. Then false start, delay of game, oh shite, oh well, I don't know run the ball right side. Same play as last time.

He needs to hire a top flight spread coordiantor and give him FULL control. 100% or I don't even watch a game next year. 100% serious. And hire a real D coordinator with some damn skins on the wall. Your paying top money, you deserve top production, and excellent scheme. Steele needs to remain a position coach where he belonged. Peveto deserves the same high road treatment.

That's the point! He will never give an OC full control because he doesn't believe that there's anything wrong with his offense

I don't think Miles truly understands the "value" of a snap.

They better get their communication issues fixed first then! I hate seeing our QB & RBs damn near break their necks in goal line situations trying to get a new play from the sideline. We need to recruit hybrids... hybrid owls and skill players. But in all seriousness, the play calling is probably too complicated for 3yr players under NCAA practice limitations (thankfully we play lots of freshman so they do get game experience, except QBs).

Unless you can now find a BOOM hire quickly, this is the likely route. Politically, if you are going to re-examine keeping Miles in the near future, it's the best move too. It would be nice to get these 20 bowl game practices moving forward with whatever new is going to happen; not likely however.

As long as they hire a true QB coach and let him be the offensive assistant instead of BDP being Miles' sounding board.

does he? one of our newbie Miles haters posted this awhile back...

Also spoke with another guy who is on the headset listening to all playes being called. This is Cam's offense. This guy said that Cam may ask for advice from Les but Cam makes the call.

You have zero clue when Miles has or has not defered to his coordinators. What you are really saying is you don't want to credit Miles with his successes so those must have been the coordinators, the failures are all his..

I think you've hit upon the most important function of the OC in a Miles coached team. A fall guy, who a good portion of the fan base will blame when Miles trots out the same putrid offense year after year. Depressing, but true.

Too bad Aleava want or can't regulate Miles arse to OL responsibilities, place his arse on a performance improvement plan, write the plan so he cannot meet it an terminate his arse when he fails. Just like most of us can be subjected to. He is no different.

People like to say he is a class act! How soon we forget his class act arse interviewed for this job while his team was preparing for their bowl. LSU will be fortunate to have a class to finish in the top 10 this year. Opponents will effectivly use the lame duck coach against us.
