At his Monday presser, Miles was asked if he heard the "F you, Saban" chant, and his answer was that he didn't hear anything.

I know Miles expects his men to play with leadership and dignity. I feel if he acknowledges his disappointment in the student section that night, we don't ever hear it again from the students. Passion is one thing; even the "Oh-we-oh, you suck" cheer after TD seems kind compared to a homogenous, profane chant on national television to a man who gave the program a title.

I took a seat when the chant began. Losing the game is one thing, but losing with no dignity hurts more. Win or lose, nothing positive the students chanted that night was possible. (I don't blame the bear buzz 4 hours into the game at that point, either.) If Miles addressed this with honest disappointment, I don't think it happens again.

You're gullible then.

I think Miles is more concerned about the FB team than he is about the crowd. He impresses me as being the type who believes the less attention given something of that matter, the better.

I can't upvote this enough. The more attention you give to something, the bigger of a deal it becomes. This goes for Alleva's letter too. Unnecessary.

If Miles didn't hear it then why should he lie?

Because it makes you feel better?

He addressed the chant and condemned it. What else do you bitches want?

Upvote. It's amazing how few people understand this phenomenon in modern media/PR.

You just wanted quiet so that you could hear the red team's band and its fans sing "Rammer Jammer."

I wonder how many people, nationally, knew of the chant before Alleva wrote that

I would think this game drew the highest rating on Saturday and everyone who watched it heard it.

Does anyone think it's classy for a school to do the yellow hammer cheer? I don't think that cheer fosters good sportsmanship. I'm pleased our school comes down on our students and other fans to stop unnecessary bad behavior.

The rant would go nuts if the Alabama team started chanting "FU Miles". Rantards would moan about the lack of class and discipline it showed. They would blame Saban. The uproar would be epic.

But, since it was the LSU student section chanting, the logic is it is somehow OK, cool and socially acceptable. Go figure. Kind of like STTDB. Chanting profanity, in any way, shape or form, in any setting, is the epitomy of low class.

No. It's a non issue aside from what Alleva had to do.

It's happened sever times before

This. You don't see them apologizing.
