Miles spends his days in a condo that doubles as a makeshift office three blocks from his old office on campus. He's been studying film, including the dynamic offenses of Baylor, Tulsa and Western Michigan. He's focused on evaluating young coaches and coordinators to help put together his next staff. And Miles will be heading to a handful of NFL facilities the next few weeks to continue gathering strategy and ideas.

The energy from Miles surged through the phone in a lengthy interview Monday night. He said he's open to evolving on offense, would focus even more on quarterback development in his next stop and stressed that he's been thrilled that LSU has won three consecutive games since his dismissal. "I've watched every snap on TV," Miles said. "Rooting like hell."

only after he's fired does he choose to do this.

"I want you to know something," said Miles, who turns 63 next week. "I have 10 or 12 years left in me. There's plenty of energy in this body. I'm not a guy who lends himself to excesses, and I have great health. Let's go find us a place where the school wants to invest and win. And I say, 'Let's go!'"

Really, he had a full time between last year bowl game an this season and made NO adjustments. In fact I think the offense was WORSE at the beginning of this season.

In all honesty, who cares. He's a great guy, but he's no longer the coach here. I thank him for all the wins and wish him the best, as long as he's not playing the tigers.

Exactly. He said the same thing to Alleva. He will say what he needs to in order to get a job then revert back to his Big 10 style.

I'll believe it when I see it, but sometimes being fired is what it takes to open up someone's eyes

Good luck finding it better than you had.

Too bad you threw it all away with your meddling and your million dollar best man, while we had a TEs coach on staff that could set records calling plays for this offense

I'd be fine with him at Texas.

I don't think Miles has the energy or stamina to sustain a program of LSU's stature any more. I think Les could be really valuable for a program in the 26-60s in making a jump.

im pretty sure an energized les doesn't mean he's evolved on offense.

let's get real here, the dude's got his ways on offense..or it's the highway.

I actually believe him.

At least until his QB sails a few balls over the middle that are intercepted for TDs. Then the evolution will to screech to a halt.

frick you Les. And frick anyone cover this advertising for a new gig. That's all this is.

You had the keys to the vault here and every resource available and you could cross midfield against a rival you played twice in the same year.

frick you!

By being open to evolving, your admitting you weren't open while here, though you said different every year.

GFY.
