I hear he is donating Joe Alleva's balls so that TJ Ribs can display them with the Heisman Trophy.

Am I really getting grief from someone who chose a handle most closely associated with mid-90s WWF. Sure, whatever, Curt.

They should have some "Classics" from the Curley Hallman era. Hawthorne really earned his pay during that period.Tuesday night radio on 870 at 8 was "must hear" radio.

Hallman was before my time as a LSU fan. What did Hawthorne do with the Coach's show at that time that could be considered classic?

I can imagine some interesting exchanges between he and Hallman given how hopeless the program was at the time.

The callers were brutal. Hawthorne played the Mr. Positive role. Curley would challenge some callers to come to his office.

1991 was like any other season. But starting with the show after '92 Colo St it went down hill. They'd filter in some homers, and a lot of callers would be upset, yet polite. Some just let him have it.

I feel the most for those sad pathetic fans that were there for the last show in tears thinking miles was gone.

Think I'll be in tears tonight knowing he's staying for more

Can't wait for Les to bait this fan base tonight by saying they've spent the majority of the bowl preparation fixing the passing game.

Not the best execution of putting the show together. I looked on the web site and the article announcing the show time was published last night at 10:18pm and was updated today at 9:47am. Its like someone woke up and said oh shite we have to do a show sponsors have paid for it. Then they said oh well lets piggy back it onto the Johnny Jones show. Same time as the Saints game, no one will be listening anyway.

That was like the West Texas Redneck's Quality type of troll Mr. Perfect. Or should I say Curt. You should tag Bobby Duncum Jr. in.

That was a good one.

He wasn't on the night he was fired after the Southern Miss game. But he was on after the Tulane game before Arkansas. A caller asked him, "what's one thing you would have changed differently this year that might have resulted in a different season?" -- or some such thing. I think the caller was alluding to the calls in the Auburn game when we were up 23-9, then 26-23.

Curley heard it as ,"whats one thing (not a you) that would have changed..."

"If we'd had 8, 9,000 fans show up at Ryan Airport after the Auburn game, that'd showed our young men that we support them 100%."

Sure,Curley. After that fiasco 8-9,000 fans are going to go to the airport to welcome the team after your brain coaching.
