"that we've put ourselves in a really good position."

It's these kind of snippets that leave me smh.

How in the name of gawd can he say this is the truth?

What? By losing the Bama game we're in great position?

Despite the fact that I think we can/will win out, we dont even control our own destiny anymore as far as the playoffs are concerned.

I get positivity and all that but this statement defies logic.

By being a 1 loss team we are in a really good position. There is still a lot to play for even if we did sh*t the bed last Saturday.

This is not meant to be a slam, but sometimes he seems like a stroke victim. They can have a disconnect between what the brain thinks and what the mouth says that is tied to what happened to their brain during the stroke. Its called Aphasia.

Should he be opening his veins because he is 7-1? It sucks we lost but that was more than a distinct possibility given that they rarely lose and even rarer at home.

God forbid he stays positive.

Statement might have been true if he'd said it before the game.
That's all he could say when his team is hoping for their division opponent to lose. Hope they keep scratching and get some breaks.

no one is opening veins....just wondering exactly how we're primed and in position to take advantage.

7-1 IS GOOD!!!!! Repeat as necessary.

His particular brand of coach speak breeds relative complacency IMO.

Well, to be fair there are 8 games that were played. They won all but 1, and losing 1 isn't the end of the world. They are still in a really good position even though they totally shite the bed against Bama. If they win out and bama shits the bed and loses we play for the SEC. Is that a good position? Yes.

Or you can just piss and moan and take a midol. Your choice I guess.

i think anyone would half of a functioning brain should be able to recognize this.

On top of that, we are a 1 loss team in the toughest conference in the nation and we are in the top 10, still in the hunt for the SEC west title as well as a playoff birth. We just need a little help from the bulldawgs or the Plainsmen

No dumb frick. We're in a good position because we ran the table in September and October and lost in the first week of November and there are multiple scenarios that put us in the playoffs. There's a ton of football left to play. Some of you must wake up every morning and just TRY to be fricking miserable.

Miles did have some type of brain surgery years ago.

I've always thought he isn't a good speaker and has a disconnect between his head and his mouth. I don't think it's stroke related. Some people just aren't "very quality" (Les' favorite term) speakers.

Not when you don't control your own destiny IMO. We can still get a great bowl game but relying on Bama to shite the bed is a long shot.

This is awesome to witnesss at this point. I don't think I have seen a sad more miserable bunch than these "fans" of a 7-1 top ten team

Which is complete bullshite because if you've ever been around him when he's not in front of a camera he's a totally different character.

Some people here won't be happy unless Miles' career ends the way Jim Pittman's did in 1971.

What is complete bullshite?

1. He did have brain surgery in 2001 to remove part of a cyst.

2. He's not a good speaker.
