I remember when Joe Rob coached ST, his units didn't struggle at near the level BDP's is.

BDP had already swung and missed at LSU, why is he back?

this is so stupid.

steele is fine, let him recruit his guys too.

we are actually getting turnovers and sacks for once.. i will take that over a statiscally #1 rated defense that is over inflated from cupcakes.. and stuggles against spread teams.

i said that before the season.. we are also tackling far superior this season.

people need to understand our special teams have not done our defense ANY favors.. the rare times we do have good field position our D has eaten!

steele has our D virtually shut out the opposing teams in the first half.. allowing us to get out to an early lead.. and other teams are playing desperation catch up.. and we are securing victory.

You forgot to mention the great cameron. I guess he's all aces in your book?

Have an up vote for putting BDP on the list of people to get rid of.

That was a surprising OP - surprising because it was at once thoughtful, clever, provacative and baseless.

In the first quarter our defense has kicked the shite out of everyone so far this year. They only start to suck after we get a double digit lead. Is this because the first team group is getting tired, the second team group sucks, they're getting complacent once they have the lead, or Steele sucks, and teams are figuring us out? Possibly it's because they're miffed at the prospect of paying off all those bets they made at Regies that we'll get over 100 yards passing THIS week. We'll have more data in four or five weeks. I'm sure a dream-team of semi-super sleuths like us on the rant will get to the bottom of it.

I'll predict this: The words "Miles is stubborn" will flow from your keyboards if we're not still undefeated.

Over the course of the season but more recently, a lot of former coaches on sports talk shows have been saying that with today's offenses, the days of the old style defenses completely shutting down teams is history. As great as Saban's defenses have always been, he's been giving up a ton of yrds & points lately. Plus, last nite we played a ton of second teamers. As for Peveto, I am no expert but several here have claimed he's a major recruiter & is responsible for several of the big name committments. Having said that, kick coverages has been pathetic & twice one of his kickers drew a delay of game penalty, someting unheard of.

Coach O insisted he coach DE's so Peveto took over LB's from Steele. This was done to allow Steele more time to focus on defense planning.

BDP needs to be fired.

I guess you're happy with 7 to 10 winso a season and no national title in sight.
