Saban was getting LSU established at the time. Once LSU has become established.. it's really a tremendous opportunity considering the recruiting location and lack of competing big schools around the area.

Saban walked into a program littered with future nfl players and some of the best players, at their positions, to ever wear P&G. This notion that Saban inherited a program with no talent is just utter bullshite. Saban was at lsu in a period where 3 losses won you the west. While at lsu saban never once faced a national title winning sec team. Not once. Miles has better win% while coaching during the most dominant era of sec football ever.
quote:

I'm pretty confident LSU would have had more success with Saban at LSU all the years (probably what Bama has done), but I'm not living in regret or what if.

Saban at lsu was not the same as saban at bama. Saban at lsu doesnt get the same scheduling breaks during the bridge scheduling as saban at bama.
Saban lost less than 3 games once at lsu.

quote:

I use to be afraid to lose Miles because of thinking be careful what you wish for. However, I believe a competent coach would have similar success here now that LSU is establishe

So you think just any ole coach can come in here and keep the same amount of talent? Players dont come to lsu just because its lsu. Lsu does not recruit itself. While LA has talent its mainly at the skill positions.

quote:

and a great one could really elevate LSU into being more special. I mean we've lost 4 games a season, 3 games a season, 5 at one point, etc

Please enlighten me as to which great coach is coming to a program where the best tenure in school history is considered underachieving. Lets not act like we are gonna shell out huge money either because we have never once spent huge money on known commodity

They don't have confidence in Miles and would like to move on. I don't see that as hating Miles, more than they love LSU.

What? Wanting lsu to suck so that a coach can be fired isnt loving lsu. Its hating a coach. Lets not sit here and act like they know lsu will be better in the long run. They hate the coach so much they are willing to see lsu be a shite program to fire him with the small chance that they may be better in the future. There is no other way to explain it.

but just firing Miles without a Jimbo type coach lines up is the dumbest thinh lsu can do.

For the record, I'm not convinced that Jimbo would have been an upgrade.

You arent even a creative hack, you stole the assertion from last year that a certain segment of our fan base love Miles more than LSU.

I would also venture that Cult of Les members ARE NOT alumni.

offensively he wouldve been an upgrade and thats what this fan base clearly wants. There wouldnt be nearly the bitching on here if our offense was always good and our defense sucked.
Look at last year as evidence. Our defense sucked platypus balls last year and all you hear about is how our offense needs to get better in 2016.

I think Herman would take the job. I also still really like Patterson if he could be bought from TCU.

But I'm not ready to jump ship on Les. It's hard to put a value on his passion for LSU and the players. The guy is the face of LSU, and he's still a damn good coach. I'm pulling for him.

You think miles is better at coaching than Saban.

Your opinion is invalid

He is getting paid at TCU (almost 4 mill)and he isnt leaving the top of the big 12 to come here and play one of the hardest schedules every year.

He's no more at the top of the big 12 than we are at the top of the SEC. He still has OU just like we have Bama, and Okie State like we have Ole Miss.

Ive been told im really acute though.
I also didn't say anything was wrong with being gay. I can just tell you like holding one. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

My user name is the pinnacle of user name evolution. Deal with it.

GG should write something new. Apparently he believes his motor is fine as he continues to write the same drivel over and over. He couldn't write anything new and exciting if he had to.

So what youre saying is he has more competition winning the big 12 than we do at winning the sec? Please point to all those title winning big 12 programs he has to go through in the big 12.

To be fair he knows hos audience. You can get lots of hits by shitting on our coaching staff. You had people not happy with out staff when Saban was here too.

I honestly laugh that people don't understand what you're doing. You're good at it, but some times it's too obvious.

My loyalty to Miles ends the day he stops being lsu's coach.
Im such a miles fan that im in favor of making a change if he loses more than 1 game this upcoming season.
You clearly have no idea what youre talking about. Are you mumbling and posting crap because im really good looking and you think you may have a shot?
