If LSU wins tonight, people especially media will say "how can you fire a coach who won 8 (9) games in a season". Look at the last teams to do that-Nebraska, Tennessee etc.

If LSU loses, it is because there is too big of a distraction and the administration is to blame. They will leave out the fact that the admins haven't leaked anything that we know about. The distraction is from the fans and especially MEDIA.

Should be an interesting few days and when I say interesting, I mean stressful as hell.

And those people are lazy and looking for the easiest possible narrative to spit out in order to rile up the masses and get clicks, likes, comments, eye balls, etc.

I agree with you but do you really think that will be the narrative after what we have seen the media say this week?

Honestly, the game tonight is meaningless...

What is said, or not said in the days after, will be where the "winner/loser" is decided.

this

You don't throw your coach under the bus, hand him out to dry, and then just say oh everything is ok come on back.

So you fire him because you fricked up?

This game is meaningless.

Obviously, Alleva has a lot on the line.

His ultimate fate is not dependent on him having a home run hire already signed for Monday.

But yes, his ultimate fate is tied to whoever he hires. It better be a heavyweight.

But Les Miles's time here is over. Firing him and moving on is the right thing to do.

If Alleva ultimately fricks up the new hire, it doesn't mean we should have kept Miles.

There is no connect. I would think anyone with a half-lick of sense could see that.

You know what makes me laugh? People who take credence in the opinion of the media. They don't want LSU to get rid of Miles and yet in the same breath they call him a buffoon. Herbie said his bad clock management is "part of his charm". He doesn't give a shite about LSU. He doesn't care that we fall short every year. They would rather we keep Miles around to show him "respect" while he takes the program down like Frank Beamer.

Don't worry about what they say. They have absolutely nothing invested in LSU nor do they care. You're better off trusting the people who have actual stock in LSU. Or people who actually want them to win.
