That made him insensitive to present an future prospects? Patterson committed to Ole Miss today. How does that sit with kids outside Louisiana he tries to commit away from their home state colleges an offers. I thought it was immature to say that publicly. What if a kid doesn't think he is a fit with Miles philosophy, or just think he would rather be coached by someone they view as a superior head coach to LES. Thoughts please! We still need a QB it seems. Loaded with talent every where but QB is a after thought again.....

Believe it or not recruits don't listen and analyze everything that comes out of Les' mouth like fans do.
We could use one more to go with Franks but LSU would be alright with taking just one QB in 2016.

Feleipe Franks. We have a top QB coming in already. Honestly, getting Patterson would have been ridiculous and may have even caused Franks to look around. You usually don't bring in two top QB's in the same recruiting class in this age of "play now" quarterbacking. Franks and Patterson are both elite prospects and it's a coin flip as to which will be a better college QB. I'm more excited to get the guy that apparently is thrilled about coming to LSU in Franks over Patterson who seems to have been set on Ole Miss for sometime now.
And no, I don't think Les' comments about LA recruits had ANYTHING to do with this. At all.

So why did it seem we haven't been HEAVILY recruiting him?
I'm sure he'd be nice to have. But Franks fits the system better.
He has a rocket arm perfect for the vertical passing scheme. He can roll out the pocket better, and he's suitsble for our multiple offense once we have someone who can run it.
Patterson is a spread QB. Remember, USC lost on him also.

Bottom line is you aren't going to get every player, I don't care what school you are.
Miles can recruit with the best of them. Say what you will about his in game coaching but one of his strongest attributes is recruiting. He can get players.
I won't lose any sleep over this kid going to Ole Miss.
