Is he really changing his philosophy or this is more lies and bullshite from him?

He does not need to change his philosophy. He needs to change the way they execute the philosophy. Still should be a power running team. You have a great running back and great backup running back, and a big and physical o-line. You also will have a great defense so ball control will be key. They need to change play design spread it out more and have pre snap motions but the philosophy should be the same.

It's a fine line, you do have Fournette and you can win games with him alone.
But to win against Bama you have to get creative if you can't line up and beat them at the line of scrimmage

Agree
Don't lose your identity but at least be able to complete a forward pass when you decide to do it. Harris still should be under 30 passes a game IMO.
Still gotta find a way to get Fournette the ball besides a run too. He has great hands and so does Guice.

Yes. He's changed from "fall" philosophy to "spring" philosophy thus more passing. Come August, we'll be back to "fall" philosophy. Then in November they'll realize they need a passing game and will put together a last minute attempt at a passing game. Because it's "last minute", it won't be executed properly and we'll blame the players. Go to a crappy bowl game in December. Then repeat the process.

A tiger never changes it's stripes.
He'll go back to running when the passing game isn't successful.

Works great against McNeese.
Not so much against Alabama.
If we can't reliably throw the ball, spread out the defense, and keep 'em guessing... we might as well give Bama the 'W' right now and use that weekend to prepare for Arkansas. Even then, that philosophy will have a 50/50 chance with the Razorbacks.

I agree they need to pass the ball more. My thought is if you spread the field with 3 or 4 wide receivers you can still use your power running game even against Bama. You guys wanting Les to change his philosophy are going to be disappointed because he's not. What he can do is tweak his offense to utilize his power running while also having threats on the outside.
Look at Bama's offense they ran the ball more than LSU did last year but utilizing the spread formations along with pre snap motions it worked. It forces the middle of the defense outside and when LSU can get a hat on a hat they can block anybody including Bama.

100% agree with this statement. More screen plays would be nice. We need to find a way to get our skill players in space

I guess philosophy doesn't matter at all then. Since it's just a matter of the team executing it.

I meant the way the coaches execute it. Play design and play calling. They need to put the players in better position to execute what they want.

Totally agree. Coker averaged 17/26 for 207 yds/game last year for Bama...very efficient, but not gaudy numbers by any stretch. He made plays with his arm & scrambling when he had to. Need the defense to get back to what LSU fans are use to seeing and somehow get creative in scheme and playcalling. CFP or bust this year.

Coker threw for over 3,000 yards last year. LSU's had a grand total of two seasons with a QB that threw for 3,000+ in the last 20+ years.
In other words, the two greatest offensive seasons from a Quarterback in the Les Miles Era at LSU are comparable to last year's season from an Alabama QB who couldn't beat out a kid who repped at WR and RB during his time on campus and who got benched earlier in the year for a Freshman.
Think about that. It takes the best talent at the position we've ever had under Miles to measure up to the crappy, below-average, absolute Non-NFL-caliber players from Alabama.
Please...please don't compare what we're doing to Alabama. It's a painfully ill-fitting comparison.

As long as Les has been here in Baton Rouge, you haven't figured out that yet?
