They need to threaten to replace him with a new Mike and let him live out the rest of his days in the BR zoo. He will be clawing to work his 7 days a year.

I've been around animals my entire life (not including my family ) - there is a simple solution the vets may not have stumbled on - feed him in his cage - EVERY DAY. Make him associate that with food.

Then, game day is no big deal. I'm not saying it is perfect, but it would work better than whatever they're doing now.
