A lot of people complain about MD but he nailed the Harris information last month. LSU moved the #1 rated safety in the nation - Jacoby Stevens - to WR because of Harris.

quote:

John Battle – hopefully healthy – and Ed Paris are the starters, but both guys will be pushed by Grant Delpit and JaCoby Stevens. And watch out for Todd Harris.

quote:

Watching what happened in the spring, Delpit was very impressive, but the guy to watch is Todd Harris

quote:

We did a banquet for Eagle 98.1 in Baton Rouge last week and Ed told me that he was so impressed with Todd Harris and how quickly he was picking up the defensive scheme. He told me that he felt Harris would be one of the top-5 freshmen in this recruiting class. He kind of got hidden a bit because of JaCoby Stevens and Grant Delpit, but Todd can flat out play

quote:

tell me your “breakout player” on defense:

Rashard Lawrence and Devin White look like special talents on defense and I think freshman safety Todd Harris could see a ton of playing time in 2017.

I follow recruiting closely and was kind of indifferent on Todd Harris for a long time because I felt we would sign a great safety class whether he came or not.

That all changed when I watched the Under Armour All American practices. He looked elite even among a group of all stars. He belongs at DBU and will make his home state proud.

He still delivered the information. I have seen people complain that Mike D just goes down the depth chart and pumps up every player. Pretty much think his information is worthless.

From the thread linked in my OP.

Y.A. Tittle - Mike Detillier -

LesTiger - "I like Detillier but it seems like the just goes down the the two-deep depth chart on both sides of the balls and says this player has all the talent in the world and will be a big time player for LSU."

notiger1997 - "This is the problem I have with all of these off-season fluff pieces. Everyone is great. Everyone is working harder than ever. Everyone is picking up the scheme, etc."

That's just from the defensive Q&A.

There are a few from the offensive Q&A:

The last post of the thread:
Tiger1988 - "Mike Detillie - Stop reading after this."

Gotta give the guy credit. He nailed the Harris info.

This in retrospect was an interesting post from that thread.

GeauxPack81 - "If Todd Harris is half as good as the coaches are saying he is, then the safety tandem of him and Delpit will be nasty in 2 years. Monroe might not see the field at safety. Crazy to think Stephens might not even start at safety, wonder if he would switch positions to WR or CB."

I think Harris will make his mark on the coverage teams early on. He has that dog in him on kickoff like Landry and Loston did.

So Harris was a highly regarded recruit for good reason.

He gained ground quickly, since both Delpit and Stevens were both early entry players.

yeah and I did. Know him and his family well for years. His cousin would support this comment especially for the Saints "insights".

no I don't. People l here cry about shite like Key returning and someone says he will. He did so does that make them a prophet? Stevens had one of the best films at WR during recruiting and was listed as a "athlete". So if I'm not going to play opposite Battle or backing up Delpit then why not move to the position group that lost 2 of its top 3 players where they play a hell of a lot more players than safety? Or where there are less proven back ups sitting on the bench.
He may or may not move back to safety in the future.
One thing for certain is Stevens is a hell of an athlete and he needs to be on the field to have the ball in his hands.

Next time I see Mike I'm going to call him Tiger Ree, see if he looks at me. I'll get his TD handle if it isn't Tiger Ree, but honestly Mike has enough cred that IDT he has to pump himslff up on a message board, I could be wrong.

This board is funny and you are living proof that Rantards are the most gullible idiots on earth. One moron posts a ridiculous statement and other fish bite and buy right in.

I wouldn't be able to do what you said you would do in your post because I don't know what the guy looks like. I have never seen him. I have never heard him speak. I have only seen his Q&A's on Dandy's site.

I made the original Q&A thread or I probably wouldn't even know that Mike D isn't as big a moron as some here would like for you to believe. The guy nailed the Harris information and for some reason, instead of giving the guy credit, like normal people would do, Rantards attack the person who pointed out that the guy apparently does know something about LSU football and its players.

I assume Mike D lives in Louisiana, right? Go look at my posts on the "food and drink" board. See if it sounds like I don't live in Texas to you. I did a post last week about Food Town being out of my favorite soda and having to try that nasty Coke Zero. As far as I know they don't have Food Towns in La. There are many other posts I have done on that board, you can read them until you realize how idiotic your post is.

No offense to Mike D, I used the word attack, but being called a guy who makes his living covering LSU and football can't be that bad. I probably wouldn't mind having his job.
