I know Mett was below average in 12, but he had to be better than the 2 shite sandwiches we had.

Considering the rest of the team was bad arse, he had to be worth few points in the BCS title game.

Right?

With how awful our line was that night, I think Mett might have died.

He probably would've been better than Lee. Would not beat Bama either time.

You have to realize, LSU's scheme is a dream for Bama defense. It doesn't matter who the personnel is, Bama's defense will stop it.

are we allowed to say that now?

I thought it was considered blasphemy to blame anyone but JJ, and Miles for starting JJ?

Has it been long enough to start being objective?

Because, objectively speaking, JJ wasn't in the top 5 reasons we lost that game.

1. OL (specifically the right side)
2. Honey Badger being short as frick
3. Play calling
4. Internal bullshite
5. Saban coaching

WTF did that have to do with anything.

People are ridiculous. He was our most sure tackler that season FWIW.. He kept his guy in front of him, but size would not have made much difference..

AJ McCarron had 0 td passes in that game. The had 1 rushing TD and 5 field goals.

If not for Tyrann we probably aren't even in that game.

For one thing, in the first game against Alabama, he made huge impact. He came across the entire field to make an open field tackle against Richardson off to the endzone and prevented an EASY td. He had a batted down ball, and he made some other solid open field tackles in that game against much larger players.

I really don't get why you say him being short cost LSU against Bama. That's bullshite. The defense did all they could to keep LSU in that game.. only giving up 1 td.. It's hard to win when your offense can't even break the 50..

He did get a few passes off on Mathieu though. He was in perfect coverage just couldn't defend on some plays due to size and the fact that the balls were perfectly thrown.

do you remember the game?

They kept rotating tall arse WR's over to Mathieu, and then throwing jump balls with isolation.

It was essentially their entire game plan.

I think the better question is if he had a year starting under his belt how do we do in '12.

I can't remember our qbs winning us any games I could be wrong. We dominated with defense, special teams, and running game. We did hit some bombs occasionally. I think the record is the same. Not sure if he could have won at bama but we didn't win b/c of qb play anyway. With development over the season we may have gone undefeated.

Blasphemy, LSU can't devlop QBs, so he was fully developed upon arrival.
