They'll probably trade him going into next year if they're satisfied with MM.

Damn straight. Since Titans are falling all over themselves for Marriota ever since they drafted him and declared him the starter, Mettenberger should ask to be traded. Or force the trade if he can. He could be starting for a bunch of teams and the QB in waiting for another bunch like Dallas and some others.

well they might be able to trade Mett for some picks if he shows starter ability. Keeping him for this season is probably a smart move to give it a year to check out MM and make sure he is the real deal.

They have no reason to trade him yet and he's stuck under the rookie contract for at least 1 more year
Doesn't really do any good for the Titans or Mett to force a trade at this point. Someone will make a move for him next year and he'll have a year to show what he can do. Could lead to a big payday for him

The players and fans seemed pretty happy with his performance last year
