I have stayed in Grenada before. It is not exactly the vacation capital of the world. The only thing that kept it from being a complete bust is that there was a pretty good BBQ restaurant across the street from the hotel.

it sounds to me like you have never actually been to Grenada before...
I stayed there last night and yes, it is a very small town, but I have been to a hell of a lot worse places. There are a couple of decent hotels as well as a damn nice little steakhouse...pretty much all I need for a single night's stay in any town.
