i think this pretty much garauntees that ducre plays fullback, which i am 100% okay with.

he is ready NOW for this level of competition

and him being on campus already only helps solidify that

John Chavis said called M Jones and K Beckwith FREAKS and said that M Jones was the BEST big athlete on the team. He came to LSU as a LB and really looked good in the spring game. BIG AND FAST. As lite as our LB's were never did understand why he was moved to FB. But I Hope he can work it out, Hell of a ball player

Ducre looks too fast to be a FB. Ducre should be in the RB rotation.

We don't need a dedicated fullback. One should be used situationally. That's how modern offenses work

Chavis liked the little guys at LB. Look how long it took Beckwith to get on the field. Rally hope this changes with the new hire. Steel seemed to prefer the big fast athletic LB's over the smaller less athletic types at Bama.

Nothing wrong with a fast FB. Brings another diminsion to the position and like someone said, we don't need a dedicated FB. He will fit the H back or offset I big back position quite nicely. I think we are moving in that direction and more away from the strictly power I run every down with no misdirection or deception type of offense.

How about we just put another wide out on the field instead.

If Ducre is used only as a blocking back, that would be a complete misuse of his abilities. He's a good enough runner to carry the ball and can catch out the backfield as well. Ducre has really good speed and is a frickin' load to bring down. I just can't see him not getting 5 or 6 touches a game. Yea, I know there's only so many touches to go around, but the guy has too much ability to not carry the ball or get some catches out the back field. Hopefully they use him at fullback the way they used Neighbors and Jones at times this past season.
