Morris Claiborne and Tyrann Mathieu are 1st round draft picks on ESPN's Mike & Mike. Of course, he is high on the entire LSU defense as well, but he singled out those two players. He said a corner at Bama is playing to hold off Claiborne for the top corner in the country -Alabama is playing Arkansas. That game is a great evaluation game for pro scouts with regards to the Bama corner. Finally, he called LSU "DB-U."

I heard that. Surprised me. I figure TM7's height would knock him downt a couple of rounds but Mel is pretty spot on in evaluating which round most guys will go in. Mcshay > Kiper IMO

But just last week when Kiper said that the most talented teams were OU, Alabama, and FSU, the Rant all agreed that Kiper was a hack and an idiot.

Im an LSU homer but Tyrann Mathieu will be lucky if he get selected in the 2nd round

I wouldn't take anyone serious on the rant as a legit talent scout. If you want proof of how great some of these talent visionaries are just go look at the old threads when mo claiborne and mathieu committed. also look at the stevan ridley draft threads.

Thought it was pretty much common knowledge that Claiborne was going to be a 1st rounder. Don't care much about Mathieu's draft stock because he can't leave until after next year anyway. With that being said, I'd be surprised if he went 1st round. Yet I still think he's the best defensive playmaker LSU has ever had.
