Just got back from a Mediterranean cruise. I was on the chair lift going to Ana Capri and a man coming down the lift saw my LSU hat and yelled GO TIGERS.
We were walking from the train station in Florence, Italy and two of the men in our party had on LSU shirts. We bumped int a young couple and she yelled GO TIGERS. She was from Gretna, La.

That doesn't necessarily make him a Tiger fan...did he actually say that he had some ties to LSU?...

...oh, and "go" is spelled "G-E-A-U-X" in this context.

The wife and I were in Montepulciano, Italy last year and had parked in a lot to go walk around the town. As we get around the car I see a guy wearing an LSU t-shirt, so I give him a nonchalant "Geaux Tigers" - he just stares at me.

I point to his shirt and say, again, "Geaux Tigers"...

He cocks his head to the side.

I say, "LSU...your shirt".

He then realizes what I'm saying and says, "Oh, I was in New Orleans for a conference and I liked the t-shirt", the dude had no clue about LSU - he just liked the old-school Mike logo.

On the same trip, our first night in Italy, we go out for some pizza in Florence and settle on this one place. The guy asks where we're from, I say New Orleans, and he says "Oh, the Tigers", and I'm like..."Yeah, how'd you know?". He says, we have a flag inside...

Sure enough, there's an LSU flag hanging inside the place.

Thought this thread felt like deja vu. Hell the original thread is still on the first page just nine threads below this one right now.

Bryant Denny, Jordan Hare and Tiger Stadium are all basically equidistant to the Redneck Riviera. I lived there for almost 2 years and we were always represented well; however, the Gumps fly their flags year round

I wore an LSU rugby jersey in Berlin when they hosted back in 2002. I was there finishing classes.

I walked through a huge crowd of Turks one afternoon. They all wanted to fight.

Geaux Tigers!
