Guy is confident and track record has followed him everywhere he has been. A short interview found on YouTube when he was hired at USCw last year

Nice. Thanks for posting.

I love the fact that he isn't scared of changing up fronts depending on the opponent. That is going to be the future of Defenses in D1

He sounds great , but why has he been fired so many times

From the sounds of it AT LEAST once has been because of change in head coaching regime, if not twice.

Excellent interview. Appears to be the best DC available at this time. Bea coup experience defending the hurry-up offense.

Just hope he has autonomy on the Defense, and no other cooks in the kitchen. He seems confident, and that's what you want....

ONLY thing I worry with him... how complicated his defense could be. Chavis was about simplicity and being fundamentally sound. I worry that there may be a transition year as he implements his system when we really need to win now with the talent we have. However, he seems like he knows what he's doing and would take all of that into account.

If the guys at USC could grasp it and get those kind of results, I feel pretty sure our players could too

You mean fundamentally missing tackle after tackle

You don't really believe this. Accept that Chavis was damn good. Do I think there are better that we could get, or someone just as good? Hell yea, but Chavis was awesome as well. A&M got better for sure, but we might end up with a windfall.

Hire this guy, put BeBe on the staff and watch what happens.

So what happened to our defense against ND. Had he left mentally already?

Arizona - The #3 defense that year, held my Steelers to 292 yards (fired because IDK)
USC - under sanctions was the #1 defense in the PAC and #13th in the country (ahead of LSU). He was let go because the new guy Sark, wanted his guy.
