We wait all year for these 8 conference games. Then one's just taken away due to Greg Sankey and his incompetent leadership.
I really can't grasp why this game is not being played by Monday. I'm aware why but the SEC should have forced the damn thing

Like in South Carolina which is currently being effected by the storm and playing tomorrow. There is a rat in the wood shed on this deal. Zero excuses this game doesn't get played in Gainesville tomorrow or Sunday

i don't disagree with any of this. but complaining about how nice the weather is today and that campus is clear is just silly. the issue is that the game should have been moved to sunday/monday.

The hurricane has been heading towards Florida this whole damn week. We all saw it coming and had a rough idea where it'd hit. Florida was a threat
Where was the contingency plan? Why didn't Sankey force one? Instead Sankey decides to sit back and allow Foley to bleed out the clock. We all knew what was happening.
I don't fault Foley, he's employed by UF and has the responsibility to protect their best interests. However, Sankey has the responsibility of getting this game played and that hasn't happened

The key word is POTENTIAL. That's why you make contingency plans. Everyone knew the storm would be long gone by this morning. Move it to Sunday or Monday (like USCe) and see what it looks like after the storm. If it's devastation, postpone it. If not, game goes on. LSU could have flown in this afternoon for a Sunday game.
It's clear Florida used the storm to get out of playing this weekend. Otherwise, we would be playing tomorrow.

There are major sporting events going on in the state today. UF would have had access to that information. No one expected damage to the UF campus. The question had to do with resources. It is pretty damn obvious resources would not have been an issue by Sunday if they weren't an issue today.

That's why I said by Monday in my OP. I completely agree that today was far fetched but it's inexcusable that the game isn't being played by Monday.

I agree It sure seems like allevas answer was not playing isn't an option we will do anything to make this work. Sankey told to step down and keep his mouth shut. Hence allevas interview yesterday where you know he's pissed but his only response to rescheduling the game was something like there has been zero discussion. It doesn't make any since
